Madhya Pradesh Government To Groom Budding Sportspersons For 2024, 2028 Olympics

In the talent search program, this time 50,000 youths have registered themselves. Madhya Pradesh is fully ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.


On Saturday, the Madhya Pradesh government said the state will train budding sportspersons for the 2024 and 2028 Olympics. To find out the best sports persons from the state, the sports department has launched a talent search program from August 8 to 18, 2021 in the state. Department of school education and tribal welfare is coordinating the section with the sports department.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, all the Indian players who won at the Tokyo Olympics have opened the doors for future generations and have inspired several with their brilliant performance. Hence, now the state is searching for talented players under the campaign where the players will be trained in 18 sports academies of Madhya Pradesh. The state will not only produce one but many such players, who will bring laurels to the country, not only in the Olympics but in national and international competitions too, he added.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also encouraged the talented youth to register themselves in the talent search program.

The program aims to come up with building up young talented sportspeople, who will bring glory to the country. Meanwhile, Vivek Sagar, who plays midfielder in the Olympic bronze medal-winning Indian hockey team, is serving MP Police as a DSP now.
