Maharashtra Eases Covid Curbs: Cinemas, Restaurants To Operate At 100% Capacity

Restrictions eased for 14 Districts!


The Maharashtra state was Among the worst-hit states during the Covid-19 pandemic. The state witnessed incessant cases of Covid-19 infection. 


On Wednesday, the Maharashtra Government issued a notification stating the Reopening of shopping complexes, restaurants, and cinema halls.

 

The state government has removed the Restrictions and permitted them to reopen and has allowed the 14 Districts of Maharashtra to operate in full capacity.


According to the notification it said, For other administrative units excluded from this list, these shall operate at 50 percent of the capacity.


According to the information given by the government notification, it says that these are opening where a district was the first dose of Covid vaccine inoculation is more than 90 percent and the second dose is 70percent also the Positivity rate is less than 10 percent and oxygen support for ICU bed is less than 40 percent.

 

The 14 districts are Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban, Pune, Bhandara, Sindhudurg, Nagpur, Raigad, Wardha, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Kolhapur.

 

While offline classes can resume in all academic institutions, they have been encouraged to leverage the hybrid model of imparting education through online and offline modes.

 

All pre-school, as well as Anganwadis, can now be started in a physical mode. Also, the Government and private offices are allowed to function at a full capacity in the state.


Meanwhile, the cases of Covid-19 are also declining. The respective state government is all working towards bringing ease in the applied restrictions.
