Maharashtra witnessed a downfall in Covid-19 cases

Covid-19 cases are declining in the state for the past week


 The Covid-19 deadly virus is providing a sigh of relief as the cases are declining in Maharashtra state. The number of daily tests carried out for the Covid-19 disease has dropped down. The positivity rate in the state has risen to 1.14% from 1.11 % during the past week. 

 

According to an official statement from the health department it said, the decline in cases and tests were due to the diwali season, during which fewer people undertook testing and some sections of the health authorities treated the spell as a holiday season, said the health department. 


 

Maharashtra was counted as the most hit state infected with the deadly coronavirus. The state was running with insufficient beds, unavailability of medical resources and equipment.  The state witnessed a harsh hit due to a deadly virus. After the state is returning to normal the cinema halls, theatres and auditoriums have been reopened in the state, schools and colleges are also reopened in the state now.


On Sunday, The state witnessed  892 cases of Covid-19 and 16 new deaths due to the deadly virus.  The state's tally has touched 6,617,654 and 1,40,388 are the Covid-19 deaths. The first week of October touched the positivity rate to 1.99 percent.
