COVID-19 RATE SLASHED DOWN


Mamta Banerjee slashed down the covid-19 test rate because of a spike in covid-19 cases and upcoming festival Durga Puja.

The West Bengal government today cancelled all the leave of health workers, doctors and official workers. The government promised more beds for covid-19 patients and nurses and altogether Lowered the covid-19 testing rate by rupees 750. Earlier it was 2,250 and now 1500.

According to the statement, Bengal government Mamata Banerjee also warned that "Durga Puja pandal won't let anyone get inside without a mask" while she is also providing free ambulance service to the patient in case of any covid emergency.

According to Rupak Barna, group CEO of an AMRI hospital stated that "we will be implementing it as per the government directive"  but would also like to present a case to reconsider the rate as it is not financially viable adding the cost of the test kit and infrastructure and said that the private hospitals have been suffering loss for the past 8 months.

Mamta Banerjee said at a press meet that," I ask everybody to follow the covid-19 safety protocols during the festive season" and she strictly asked people to adhere to all the rules during the function.

Leave for all the doctors,  health department, workers and officials have been cancelled from 22 October to 26 October.

Government has also said that she is going to inaugurate the festivities from her office on 15, 16 and 17 and will be a virtual one.
