Mamata Banerjee To Visit UP, Will Seek Support For Samajwadi party

West Bengal CM to visit UP for Two Days!


The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee will be visiting the Uttar Pradesh state.

 

She will be visiting for two days ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to "support Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for upcoming state assembly elections" that are scheduled to be held in seven phases beginning from February 10.


According to the information, the chief minister will reach the state today (Monday) at around 5.20 pm and hold a press conference at the Samajwadi Party office on Tuesday and will appeal to people to support Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.


According to the Information, CM Mamata Banerjee informed that Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not contest the Uttar Pradesh elections but will field candidates in the state in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

 

She said, "In Uttar Pradesh, I am not going to contest assembly polls but I am going to support Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav.

 

We Trinamool Congress (TMC) will contest from Uttar Pradesh in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls," she said reflecting and national ambitions in the general election.


The Uttar Pradesh state is all gearing up ahead of the assembly elections. The state is witnessing frequent visits of the political leaders arriving in the state in support of their party.

 

The 403 members assembly elections will begin in seven Phases. The dates are scheduled as February 10,14,20,23,27 and March 3rd and 7th. Also, the counting of votes will take place on March 10.
