Mansukh Mandaviya To Chair COVID-19 High-Level Review Meet

Meeting to be chaired with Health Ministers of 5 states and 1 UT


On Monday, the Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a High-level review meeting for Covid-19. The review meeting will take place Virtually with health Ministers from 5 states and a Union territory. 


According to the Information given by PTI, This review meeting will be attended by the Health Minister of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat Madhya Pradesh, and Union Territory of Dadra And Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.


The reason behind the COVID review meet is Spike in the cases of Covid-19 and COVID-led Omicron in a few states. Maharashtra reports the Maximum Count in cases of COVID. Around 3,623 cases of Omicron were reported, Maharashtra carries 1,009 cases, Delhi 513, and Karnataka 441 cases.


Also, on Sunday the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to Review the Covid-19 scenario across the Country.

 

The meeting was attended by Union Home minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Health and Family welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar, Member (Health) NITI Ayog Dr. VK Paul, Cabin secretary Rajiv Gauba, Home Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary (Biotechnology) Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, DG ICMR Dr. Balram Bhargava, CEO of National Health Authority RS Sharma and Other senior officials.


According to the data given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Sunday, India reported 1,59,632 cases of COVID in the last 24 hours, which touched the daily positivity rate to 10.21 percent in the Country.
