More Than 500 New Cases In India In 24 Hours

New Delhi: On Wednesday, India reported 501 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, while the active cases have reduced from 7,918 to 7,561, the health ministry said.

With new coronavirus cases, the country's total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,46,66,676.

India also reported 2 Covid-related deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,30,535.

On Wednesday, Delhi recorded 19 fresh Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 0.42 per cent, while one more person succumbed to the viral disease, according to city health department data.

The fresh cases came out of 4,523 tests conducted the previous day, the department said in its bulletin.

With the fresh cases and fatalities, Delhi's tally stands at 20,06,827 and the death toll at 26,516.

On Sunday, Delhi recorded 115 fresh covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 1.59 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department here. No new fatality was reported due to the viral disease.

With these new cases, the capital's Covid tally has climbed to 20,04,902 while the death toll stands at 26,506, the department said in its latest bulletin.

The new cases were detected from 7,243 tests conducted the previous day, it said. Delhi on Saturday recorded 135 Covid cases with a positivity rate of 2.12 per cent. On Friday, it saw 112 new cases with a positivity rate of 1.75 per cent.
