MP Govt. to spend Rs 23 crores for 4 hours PM's visit

MP is celebrating a week-long event- 'Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas' PM and Union Minister will visit the event


Bhopal: The Bhopal Govt. is set to spend Rs 23 crores for Prime Minister Modi's visit in the coming week. The PM is arriving at Madhya Pradesh's capital to celebrate its tribal warriors.

According to the officials, The Prime Minister will be in the state capital city for four hours and on the stage for 1 hour 15 minutes, for which five domes are being built. The state government is spending more than Rs 23 crores for the event, out of which Rs 13 crores is about to be spent only for transporting people to the programme to be held at Jamboree Maidan.

On November 15, the state is preparing to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas as a tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The Prime Minister is likely to address the gathering. Also, he will dedicate the country's first public-private partnership-built Habibganj railway station at Jamboori Maidan in the city.

According to the officials, the Union Cabinet Ministers will also gather to celebrate the week-long event in MP from November 15 to November 22.

The venue 'Jamboree Maidan' will gather almost two lakh tribals from across Madhya Pradesh and will be decorated with tribal masterpieces and artifacts of legendary tribal leaders.

This event will accommodate more than 300 workers to make this event a success. Big Pandals are set for the tribals as Madhya Pradesh is the largest tribal state in the country.

Over Rs 12 crores is for transportation, food and lodging of people coming from 52 districts and over Rs 9 crores is for five domes, tents, decoration and publicity.
