National Curfew In Rajasthan's Karauli Gets Extended Till April 10

Violence Hit in the city!


On Thursday, The curfew imposed in Rajasthan’s Karauli was extended till 12 am on April 10. This has been extended considering the law and order situation in the violence-hit city.



According to the information, the administration has announced a relaxation in curfew from 9 am to 12 pm daily. During this period, essential items will be sold. Vegetables and fruit stores, general stores, dairies, fuel stations, and gas agencies will function during this period. Whereas section 144 has also been implemented in Kota, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Ajmer.



Additionally, the curfew was imposed after incidents of arson and vandalism on Saturday in the wake of stone-pelting at a bike rally on Nav Samvatsar (Hindu New Year). The bike rally was passing through a Muslim-dominated area in Karauli.



After the karauli communal riots, Ajmer collector imposed section 144 in urban and rural areas. This step was taken after the administration received intelligence reports of disturbing communal harmony. DJ will no longer be played in the district. This order has been issued for public places and religious places to create a peaceful environment.



As per the information, around 35 people have been injured during this incident. whereas Congress has called it an attempt to polarise people whereas the Opposition BJP termed the violence "a planned conspiracy."
