Negative RT-PCR report must be for flyers coming to West Bengal if not fully vaccinated against Covid-19

The report should be fresh within 72 hours of the departure of the flight.


On Monday the state government decided and declared to civil aviation that, the people coming to west Bengal should be having a certificate or a negative covid test report for both commercial and non-commercial flights. The decision has been taken with effective effect for the safety of West Bengal by West Bengal Home Secretary BP Gopalika.

Besides, the Passengers should be having proof of vaccine at the time of boarding. The report should be fresh within 72 hours of the departure of the flight. According to the health department, no death took place in the city but the incident took place in Darjeeling and Paschim Medinipur due to different issues.

Meanwhile, a total number of 12 deaths were registered but expected to cross the 18k mark, 666 new cases on Monday. In the last 24 hours, 1,006 were recovered and the number of people discharged were at the rate of 97.97 percent. So far, 14,88,077 people have recovered from the disease in West Bengal.According to the health department, at present 12,759 active cases are there in the state and on Monday, 3,18,805 people were inoculated in the state.
