Night curfew imposed in several cities of Uttar Pradesh

Night curfew in Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Kanpur


Rise in Covid-19 cases is creating an alarming situation, whereas several states have imposed night curfew due to spike in cases and now night curfew has been imposed in several cities of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur and Varanasi. This Night curfew has been imposed due to a rise in covid-19 cases and will start from 9 pm to 6 am from 8th April till 30th April.

According to the tweet of Lucknow's District Magistrate "Except medical, nursing and paramedical institutes, all the government and non-government and private schools and coaching centres will remain closed till 15th April". In Prayagraj night curfew will take place from 10 pm to 8 am from 8th April and no end date has been announced yet. In Kanpur, the night curfew will start from 10 pm till 6 am. According to the statement given by the DM of Kanpur "The night curfew wi)( be imposed till 30th of April".Whereas Varanasi will only have a week-long curfew from 8 April at 9 pm".

There has been a steep rise in Covid-19  cases in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Jhansi, Bareilly, Agra, Saharanpur and Moradabad districts.

As per the latest information given by the Health Department, it said that, "6023 are the fresh Covid-19 cases and Lucknow remained on top of the list with 1333 fresh cases".
