Night curfew relaxed in Uttar Pradesh; timings changed

The government in its order said the night curfew will now be in place from 11 pm to 6 am every day.


Covid-19 cases across the country are fluctuating. Whereas the Uttar Pradesh government citing decrease in Covid-19 cases, announced on Tuesday relaxation of night curfew in the state.

According to ANI, it said that cases of Covid-19 have been decreasing across the state. The government in its order said the night curfew will now be in place from 11 pm to 6 am every day. Earlier the timing in the state was 10 pm to 6 am.

According to the order issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Awanish Awasthi, the night curfew timings will come into immediate effect.

On Monday, the Covid-19 tally of Uttar Pradesh stood at 17,09,457 and 12 new cases were reported. According to the state health department, of the 12 Covid-19 cases, two each were reported from Jalaun, Badaun, one each from Lucknow, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Gorakhpur, Kannauj, Azamgarh, Lakhimpur Kheri, Moradabad and Amethi, the bulletin said. There was no fresh death and the toll stood at 22,861, it said.
