On Tuesday covid-19 has hit the Indian boxing hard with the cases of infection where Two national-level boxers and coaches from among nine National Institute of Sports (NIS), Patiala have tested positive for Covid-19.

The two National boxers have been identified as Kavinder Singh and Ananta whereas coaches are Khimanand Belwal and Narjeet Singh and yesterday, Jai Singh Patil, second support staff personnel after men's chief national coach has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently admitted with mild symptoms.

Around 14 members of boxers and coaching staff have been tested positive and the RT-PCR test was conducted in NIS by the sports authority of India out of which.9 have been tested positive.
