No Gatherings Allowed In UP's Gautam Budh Nagar Area

Spike in Covid counts!


Amid the rise in the cases of deadly Covid-19, the cases have been witnessing a rise in their daily tally. Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Budh Nagar has been kept under several rules and regulations.

 

No Gatherings are permitted in the area due to a spike in the cases of the vicious virus. In view of the upcoming festivals and increasing COVID-19 infections, Section 144 CrPC has been enforced in Gautam Budh Nagar from May 1 to 31.

 

According to Police Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar, wearing masks has been made mandatory in public places.

 

"No one should be allowed to conduct any protests or hunger strike without the permission of the higher authorities. Organising puja and offering of Namaz in public places will not be allowed," said the Police Commissionerate of Gautam Budh Nagar in a statement.

 

As per the ministry, India's active caseload currently stands at 19,092. Active cases now constitute 0.04 percent of the country's total positive cases.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases increased to 19,500.

 

The country also reported 40 Covid-related deaths on Sunday, bringing the total number of Covid fatalities to 5,23,843.

 

On Saturday, the country reported 3,688 new Covid cases and 50 related deaths.

 

Witnessing a rise in the daily count, Maharashtra is also planning to mandate face masks in the state amid a spike in the Covid count. The state was among the hotbeds of Covid.
