No RT-PCR Test For Flight, No Quarantine For Foreign Arrivals

Govt. Removes At-Risk tag from the Omicron infected countries!


On Thursday, the government revised the travel guideline and issued fresh guidelines stating No RT -PCR test mandatory, No quarantine for 7 days for foreign travellers arrivals.


As per the statement issued by the Union Health Ministry on Friday it said, The new guidelines will come into effect from Monday (February 14).

 

The ministry stressed the "need to monitor the continuously changing" COVID-19 virus but also acknowledged that "economic activities need to be taken up in an unhindered manner".


According to the new guidelines, all foreign arrivals must fill out a self-declaration form online (available at the Air Suvidha web portal), including a travel history of the past 14 days. Adding that it also mentions they can also upload a certificate confirming they have received both doses of Covid vaccination.


According to the tweet, the Union health minister said, a sub-section (2 percent of the total passengers on the flight) shall undergo random post-arrival testing at the airport on arrival.

 

They will submit their samples and be allowed to leave the airport, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said while announcing the move on Twitter.

 

Adding more he said, "need for undertaking RT-PCR test on 8th day & uploading the same on Air Suvidha portal is dispensed with."
