No vaccine for 18-44 age group in Delhi ; Atishi

No vaccine for 18-44 age group in Delhi, all vaccination centers to shut by Wednesday: Atishi

The National Capital is under unlocking where all the markets and offices are getting open and on the other side, Delhi is facing an acute shortage of vaccines. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Atishi on Tuesday said that there is an acute shortage of Covid-19 vaccine in Delhi and due to which vaccination centres meant for people in the 18-44 age group will be shut by Wednesday. She also said that half of the vaccination centres were closed on Tuesday and less than a day's stock of vaccine is left with the Government.

Atishi said to PTI that, "As the unlock is slowing happening and offices and markets are reopening, the youth segment will venture out more, and therefore, it was important that they would get vaccinated. Our drive for 18+ years category was again picking pace, but for lack of doses, it has slowed down again." She has also appealed to the Centre to urgently provide more vaccine doses so that the Delhi Government could keep the vaccination drive for 18+ going.

According to the vaccination bulletin issued online on Tuesday it says, on June 14 a total of 60,734 vaccine doses were administered, taking the total number of doses given to date to 61,50,931.
