Noida targets 50,000 vaccinations daily in the special drive starting from today

In the district, 155 centers were chosen for the process of supplying doses, 61 private and public health facilities will help in providing vaccination.


Noida will be conducting a mega drive for the people, from today onwards. Maximum  50,000 vaccination daily within the drive, is targeted by the Health Department. From the  source, it was also  found out that in July a group based drive was held which was stopped, due to irregular supply of vaccines.

According to the statement of Dr. Neeraj Tyagi, District Immunisation Officer, a pilot program of the mega cluster-based drive will also be organized, the program will be conducted as an experimental ground to showcase the work of management and for further changes as per requirement. 250 vaccines will be provided in each session. Besides, for 18+ a walk-in process has been held in the center, he also requested people, not to worry, as the the camp will be held for a week. In the district, 155 centers were chosen for the process of supplying doses, in 61 private and public health facilities helping in providing vaccination.

Meanwhile, the walk-in process for the first doses will begin within 2-3 days. People can register themselves from the online portal or by visiting nearby government centers.

Till Sunday, in Gautam Buddha Nagar 16.3 lakh vaccine doses with more than 13.12 lakh took first shots in which 14.33 lakh shots were Covishield and 1.69 lakh were covaxin,  9 lakh people from the age of 18-44 while 3.9 lakh people belong to 45+ age group.
