On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had organised a virtual meeting with the top-most ministers including those from the centre's think-tank NITI Aayog to discuss the accessibility of the COVID-19 vaccines strategy of the country.

India has become the 2nd largest country of coronavirus cases with almost 9,050,613 cases to date. Delhi government might also announce the next lockdown soon. While many states have also postponed the decision to open schools and colleges, in view of the increasing number of infections.

Therefore the country's Prime Minister has set virtual meeting to discuss the vaccine productions and distribution process. He tweeted that "Held a meeting to review India's vaccination strategy and the way forward. Important issues related to the progress of vaccine development, regulatory approvals and procurement were discussed."

According to a report, several drug companies have involved developing the vaccine to fight the pandemic COVID-19. Coronavirus has effected 1,377,745 people throughout the world since  December, after its origin in China.

Many vaccines are ensuring 90-94% effectiveness are also in advance stages of treatment. Moderna and Pfizer are some the ensure the same.According to an official statement by the govt. on Fridays, Five vaccines are in advanced stages of development in India, out of which 4 are in Phase II/III and one is in Phase-I/II. Also, many countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, Qatar, Bhutan, Switzerland, Bahrain, Austria and South Korea are in word with India about the COVID-19 vaccines.
