Over 1.45 Lakh Cases In One Day In India
According to Union Health Ministry's data about 1,45,384 fresh Coronavirus infections have been recorded in India. It is the highest-ever single-day surge since the start of the pandemic, taking the tally to 1,32,05,0926.
Earlier, 794 people died, taking the total tally to 1,68,436.This is the fourth consecutive day that India has recorded more than 1 lakh cases in 24 hours. As per the reports over 6.16 lakh infected people have been reported just in the 1 week whereas 3,335 of them, people have died during this period.
In Delhi, again all schools and colleges have been shut till further notice due to a pandemic, the government of the National capital announced on Friday. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which governs thousands of schools across the country has faced criticism from the opposition for going ahead of the exams despite the spike and students also want to cancel the board exam of class 10th and 12th due to strain of virus .
