Oxford’s AstraZeneca Vaccine Approved By UK Against Mutant Virus.

AstraZeneca vaccine gets approved by UK as it can fight the mutant strain of the coronavirus.

On Wednesday the first country in the world to permit the coronavirus vaccine developed by the Oxford University and AstraZeneca is Britain as it can fight the new highly contagious mutant strain of the corona virus that surged in the winter this year.

The United Kingdom's (UK) health ministry (UK) said “The government has today accepted the recommendation from the Medicine and Healthcare product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to authorize Oxford University/AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine for use.

This year the pandemic has cost1.7 million lives of people all around the world, a downfall in the global economy and has overturned the lives of millions of people since the first outbreak of the corona virus occurred in China’s Wuhan a year ago. The UK and South Africa are wrestling with the new strain of the corona virus which is more contagious according to the governments and experts; in response to control the rise of the mutant strain many countries have banned flights and blocked trade from these countries.

AstraZeneca and other vaccine developers from other nations say that they will study if the impact of the new variant is on but they also expect that the vaccine shots will be having an effect over the new mutant strain of the virus. The regulatory authorization of the AstraZeneca and the Oxford team is a welcome boost to the teams that worked for the development of the vaccine, after being accused of lacking clarity about the results from last stage trials.
