Paid Covid booster Dose For Adults To Begin From Sunday

Covishield vaccine to be available at Rs600!


Covid-19 led vaccinations booster Dose is now open for all the adult groups for the third short.  The one who has taken both the jabs of the Covid-19 vaccine can now take the third one as a Booster Dose.



On Friday, the health ministry informed about the booster dose which will be available from Sunday (tomorrow).



According to the statement, all those who are more than 18 years of age and have completed nine months after the administration of the second dose, would be eligible for a precaution dose. This facility would be available in all private vaccination centers,” the ministry said.



Additionally, India’s ongoing free vaccination programme through government vaccination centers for the first and second doses as well as the precautionary third dose to healthcare and frontline workers and those aged 60 years or older will continue and its pace will be accelerated, the ministry said.



On Friday, the Serum Institute of India said the booster shots of its Covishield vaccine would be available to the public at Rs600. Hospitals would get the vaccine at a discounted price.



According to the statement by Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the move would add an extra layer of safety.



India has seen a deadly scenario for Covid-19 many lost their lives and loved ones during the Covid pandemic. Incessant increase in cases of Covid-19 had led to a crisis for beds, medical equipment, and medicine.
