AIIMS Chief, Randeep Guleria warned for the possible third wave for India

All India institute of medical sciences (AIIMS) chief Randeep Guleria warned of the possible third wave for India.

According to the statement, the AIIMS chief said, "it is unlikely that the third wave of Covid-19 of a magnitude comparable to the first and second will hit India. With time the pandemic will take an endemic form. We'll continue to get cases but the severity will be highly reduced." He said India doesn't need a booster dose at this time. There is no surge in cases as such at the movement which suggests the vaccines are still protecting against the Coronavirus." There's no need for a vaccine booster dose, said the chief."

The statement came when the AIIMS CHIEF was speaking during the book launch of "Going viral:Making of Covaxin- The Inside story." Which has been authored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) director-general Dr. Balram Bhargava.
