After, completing the milestone of 1 Billion vaccination, PM decides to congratulate the nation


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressrd the country at 10 AM today. After, the "historic" moment of completing the 1 Billion vaccination milestone took place yesterday. The Prime Minister decided to celebrate and congratulate all the citizens of the country.

The annocement was made through the tweet from the PM Office.

According to the statement from the PM office, the PM has decided to announce making the scripted history of completing 1 Billion vaccination through loudspeakers of ships, trains, auto etc.

According to the govt., the country has completed vaccinating three-fourth of adults of 1.3 billion people have had one shot of the vaccine in which around 30 per cent are fully vaccinated.

The Modi govt. has also aimed to vaccinate all the 994 million of an adult by this year.

In an opinion piece today, the PM has expressed his thoughts over the vaccination drive by calling it as the journey from "anxiety to assurance" that has made the country emerge stronger and credited its success to people's trust in the vaccines despite "various efforts to create mistrust and panic". He also added, "the landmark figure was achieved in nine months despite many doubting the country's capability".

The PM has praised all the doctors, nurses and all the workers that make this vaccination drive come up with flying colours.

During a Video conferencing with AIIMS Campus, Delhi, the PM expressed his heartiest congratulations over the vaccination drive. "This day of October 21, 2021, has been recorded in history. To combat the biggest pandemic in 100 years, the country now has a strong protective shield of 100 crore vaccine doses. This achievement belongs to India, every citizen of India" said the PM.
