India's First-Ever Driverless Train Inaugurated


Narendra Modi inaugurated new and innovative India's first-ever driverless train operations on the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line which is the route of Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden in the National Capital. This Plan will be extended to Delhi Metro's Pink Line (Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar) by mid-2021.

PM Modi permitted the launch of a new and innovative project in National Capital of India which is a fully operational system National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) services on the Airport Express Line via video conferencing. Moreover, an inter-operable transport facility that allows users of the same will have to pay for travel, toll duties, retail shopping, and withdraw money with help of using only one card. Prime minister has a huge plan for coming 5 years to increase the metro lines in more cities along with advance and innovative technology.

The National Common Mobility Card convenient advance facility, which will be fully operationalised on the route of Delhi Metro's Airport Express Line, will enable anyone carrying a RuPay-Debit Card issued from any part of the country to travel on the route, this will be convenient for users. The innovative facility will be available on the entire Delhi Metro network within two years, according to sources.
