On Monday, 30 January 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary.

January 30th is celebrated as Martyrs' Day to honour Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution towards the freedom of the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the ‘Father of the Nation’ and said that his sacrifices will never be forgotten. Entire Nation will remember his sacrifice and efforts.

He tweeted, “I bow to Bapu on his Punya Tithi and recall his profound and unique thoughts. I also pay homage to all those who have been martyred in the service of our nation. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten and will keep strengthening our resolve to work for a developed India.”

President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat in the National Capital.

Home Minister Amit Shah also remembered Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary and said, “A true tribute to Gandhiji would be to adopt the ideas of Swachhta, Swadeshi and Swabhasha in the golden age of independence.”

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leaders and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also paid his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi today.
