PM Modi Says, "Proud moment for Indians as Made In India Vaccines Given Approval "

Corona Virus Vaccine gets approval


Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it would make every Indian proud that the two vaccines approved were "made in India", today, after the announcement about the approval of 2 Covid vaccines produced by that are Serum Institute and  Bharat Biotech developers (Covishield and  Covaxin respectively). 

According to PM Modi's social media account , "It would make every Indian proud that the two vaccines that have been given emergency use approval are made in India". Modi also added in his statement that "We reiterate our gratitude to doctors, medical staff, scientists, police personnel, sanitation workers and all Corona warriors for the outstanding work done, that too in adverse circumstances. We will remain eternally grateful to them for saving many lives,".

The two vaccines that are Covishield and Covaxin got emergency approval from the Drug Controller General of India, VG Somani. The two firms submitted data on their dry trial runs and have been granted permission for "restricted use", said Mr Somani to sources in National Capital.

PM Modi has taken a interest in the vaccine's development over the past many months , in November, he was on 1 day tour and visited India's top 3 vaccine hubs to personally review the status of the manufacturing to distributing process of the vaccine.

The PM's message today was quickly followed by Manipur, Chief Minister, N.Biren Singh who congratulated both the nation as well as the Prime Minister. Several leaders from other states including Amit Shah also welcomed the move to give the two vaccines approval, calling it a proud moment for India, calling it one more achievement of the country.
