President Kovind on a 5 day visit to Uttar Pradesh


The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, will reach Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh this evening on his 5-day visit to his hometown. On the tour he will visit his birthplace Paraunkh in Kanpur dehat district moving on he will visit Lucknow, some of the program has been scheduled in his birthplace, in which Ram Nath Kovind will take place. The choice of visiting by train was planned by Mr. Ram Nath Kovind as this will bring back the beautiful memory of early days as in connecting with people in various parts of the country. After a gap of 15 years, the president has gone by train. The last time a President traveled by train was in 2006 when Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam boarded a special train from Delhi to Dehradun to attend a passing out parade of cadets at the Indian Military Academy.

Moreover the country’s first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad also like to travel in train journeys before being president he decided to visit his birthplace, Ziradei in Siwan district, during his visit to Bihar, that time the journey for the President was so special that the route has been decorated for welcoming the president on his first train journey The train will make two stop-overs, at Jhinjhak and Rura of Kanpur Dehat, where the President will interact with his old acquaintances from his school days and early days of his social service.
