Prime Minister Narendra Modi Repeals Farm Laws

On Friday the laws were Repealed


 On Friday, prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and announced the repeal of the three Farm laws which were enacted by the Central Government in the year 2020.

According to the statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said," we haven't been able to explain to our farmers. This is not a time to blame anyone. I want to tell you that we have taken the farm laws back "said the PM and urged the farmers to return to their homes and fields.

 

As per the statement, the PM said the government did its best to educate and inform the farmers about the laws and will continue to keep working for their betterment.

 

 PM made this announcement on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti for the three Farm laws, the farmers (empowerment and protection) agreement if price assurance and farm services act, the farmers produce trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation), the essential commodities (amendment) act 2020.

 

Farmers have been protesting since November 26, 2020. Farmers are majorly from Punjab,  Haryana, Uttar Prades,h and nearby states and have been protesting at Delhi's border, were demanding for the repeal of the enacted laws by the Central 

Government. After several rounds of talk it was rejected and ignored. Later the PM on Friday announced the repeal. Many farmers lost their lives in hunger and starvation, many lost due to cold, some were trapped in a brutal fight, protest and many were also killed. 

 

Social media and other platforms are flooded with victory and happiness for which the farmers and their families were protesting.
