First Door To Door Campaign of Priyanka Gandhi ahead of UP Elections


Congress in-charge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is all set to begin her door-to-door campaign today. She will begin her campaign from Noida. 


Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls the leaders and parties are all set to hold rallies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold virtual rallies today with five districts of Uttar Pradesh. 


Congress has named Pankhuri Pathak as their candidate for Noida. Gandhi is expected to interact with a group of women separately under the "Ladki hoon, lad Sakti hoon" slogan in addition to interacting with groups of society from various sections.

 

Thereafter, Gandhi will go for a door-to-door campaign in favor of Pathak.


According to the information, this will be the first door-to-door, physical campaign to make the state during the poll campaign.

 

Also, she had been conducting live interactions on social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube, the latest being with students and government job aspirants.

 

The information also said, after this, Gandhi is also expected to campaign in the Dadri Assembly Constituency on Tuesday.


Later today, the Election Commission is also scheduled to hold a meeting to review rally permissions because of the COVID infection. Notably, big rallies are banned and only door-to-door and virtual rallies are permitted.


Uttar Pradesh voting will begin in seven Phases, the first phase of polling will be held on February 10, the second phase on February 14, the third phase on February 20, the fourth phase on February 23, the fifth phase on February 27, the sixth phase on March 3 and the seventh phase on March 7 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.
