Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has traveled to Delhi to meet  Union Home Minister Amit Shah ahead of the next round of talks between the government and representatives of farmers' organizations on three farm regulations. He is expected to meet with Shah at 9.30am to try to find a solution to the problem, according to sources.

Amarinder is accompanied by his secretary general Suresh Kumar and other officials. The minister demanded time from the Minister of Home Affairs for a meeting on the ongoing unrest against the new rules that has led to a siege by protesting farmers, especially fromPunjab.

Thursday's meeting between farmers and the Center is crucial as this is the fourth such meeting - after all previous meetings have failed to resolve issues - with complaints against three farm laws recently passed by Parliament.

Focusing on today's meeting, farm leaders are demanding that the centre convince a special parliamentary session to repeal the newly enacted farm rules, which they said would negatively affect the low subsidy system (MSP).
