Rahul Dravid appointed team India coach; to take over after T20 WC

Rahul Dravid will step down as the head of the NCA soon to take up the new post.


Former India captain Rahul Dravid on Friday agreed to coach the Indian senior cricket team after the T20 World Cup that will be held in UAE, reported TOI. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah, reportedly, held a meeting with Rahul Dravid during the IPL final in Dubai and persuaded him to become the coach of the Indian team.

Moreover, Dravid will step down as the head of the NCA soon to take up the new post. Reportedly, Dravid has been offered a two-year contract, that is, till 2023 for which he will be paid a salary of Rs 10 crore.

According to the TOI report of October 12, Paras Mhambrey has been appointed as the bowling coach of the Indian team while no changes have been made so far to replace the fielding coach R Sridhar.
