Railway announced cash reward for athletes and coaches from India, in Tokyo Olympics

The railway organization has contributed 20% of the athletes from India


On Wednesday, the railway authorities have announced a special cash award for all the athletes and officials who have been participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020, with Rs 3 crore bonanza for gold medal winners. As twenty-five athletes, five coaches, and a physiotherapist from the Railway Sports Promotion board are respecting India in the Olympics Games from  the beginning of day one. The railway organization has contributed 20% of the athletes from the Indian continent.

In the statement the Railway Minister said, to boost up the morale of the participants, the special cash prize has been offered to the athletes and officials who have been participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020, which include 3 crore for gold medal winner, 2 crores for silver winner and 1 crore for the bronze winner. In addition, any athletes who end up performing In the last eight participants will be also provided the money of Rs 35 lakh and each participant will get 7.5 lakh. The promotion policy will also act as an initiative to honour the country's sportsperson- athletes and coaches.

Meanwhile, for the coach, different amounts will be provided as per gold winner medal 25 lakh, silver winner medal 20 lakh and the coach's bronze medal will get Rs 15 lakh, each participant's coach will get 7.5 lakh.
