Rayssa Leal Wins Olympic Silver Medal At 13

A Congratulatory call to Brazilian girl, Rayssa Leal, who won the Olympic silver medal in the first women's street skateboarding event in Tokyo on Monday.


Official account of Olympic has shared a few images on twitter of the young achiever as an amateur skateboarder, dressed as a fairy, and as a professional holding her board at the Olympics, the Committee's official handle wrote on their post that, “How it started” and “How it's going”. The Committee followed it up with an “updated” image which simplifies the athlete of youth with her silver medal.

The young girl of 13-yo, has bagged the top three spots in the event's inaugural appearance at the Summer Games this year. Even before her Olympic triumph, Ms Leal had achieved immense popularity when she was 7-yo. A video of hers went viral in 2015, which demonstrated her trying to land on her heel flip while jumping over a set of stairs. She failed but she put efforts in her learning process, But on her third endeavor, she managed a perfect landing.

Ms. Leal has grown since the two failed attempts in her career. In 2019, at the first event of the Street League Skateboarding World Tour, Ms. Leal took third place. Later that year, in July, he took first place. She also participated in various international tournaments and qualified for the skating event of this year's Olympic Games.
