Omicron alert


On Thursday, the Madhya Pradesh Government imposed a night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am amid growing concerns of Covid-19 led New Variant Omicron. 



The cases of Omicron are now alarming in the state, meanwhile, with the upcoming festivals of Christmas and New Year, the public rush could lead to an incessant rise of the deadly coronavirus.



According to the statement given by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan "In view of the rapid spread of the omicron virus in the world, it is the right time for all to remain alert in the issue.

 

 The center has also issued guidelines to follow social distancing, use a face mask and avoid crowded places. We have also decided to impose night curfew from tonight Thursday in the entire state from 11 pm to 5 am and will take some more measures if required to deal with the situation”, said the CM.



Many other states have imposed a Covid led night curfew in the state. The state government has imposed restrictions in the state ahead of New Year and Christmas to curb the public rush, to protect them from getting infected with the virus.



Few states such as Haryana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and many other states have imposed restrictions and Covid-19 related rules and regulations.
