Road leading to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to be named after Kalyan Singh

The Public Works Department (PWD) will prepare a plan for the main roads in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Aligarh, Etah, Bulandshahr, and Prayagraj, each road will be given a name after the death of Kalyan Singh.


The road leading to Ram Janmbhoomi in Ayodhya will be named after Kalyan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said on Monday. Kalyan Singh the former Chief Minister of the state recently passed away on Saturday night. In addition, The Public Works Department (PWD) will prepare a plan for the main roads in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Aligarh, Etah, Bulandshahr, and Prayagraj, each road will be given a name after the death of Kalyan Singh, Keshav Prasad Maurya adds. 

The last rites of Kalyan Singh will be done today at Rajghat in Narora of Bulandshahr district with full state honors. Kalyan Singh's body will be were kept at Ahilya Bai Holkar stadium then will be taken to his native village Madholi and from there they will be taken at Rajghat in Narora.

Kalyan Singh died at the age of 89, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, paid respect in describing Mr. Singh as "a true son of Bharat Mata".he exclaimed Kalyan Singh as among those leaders of his generation who had influence  Indian politics in his era. Kalyan Singh who loves the lord ram so much, that he did not care about the lure of office when he has to choose, Aditya adds.

On July 4 Kalyan Singh was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the SGPGI. His death took place due to sepsis and multi-organ failure. Kalyan Singh plays a virtual role in the rise of the BJP to power in Uttar Pradesh in the 1990s. He becomes CM, when when the Babri mosque was demolished by a mob of "karsevaks" in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.   He was among the 32 people acquitted in the demolition case in September last year.
