Sachin Tendulkar comes forward to help Covid patients


Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar, took to social media where he announced about his a donation of worth Rs.1 crore to "Mission Oxygen" to "raise funds for importing oxygen concentrators and donating them to hospitals across the country." This is solidarity with the people of Indians as people battle a menacing wave of covid-19.

Earlier this month, Tendulkar has urged to citizens of India to donate plasma for Covid sufferers. He had also took an initiative where he was inaugurated a plasma donation center in 2020, he stated on his 48th birthday's video and asked people for donation in plasma bank on April 24th, posted on social media,"If plasma can be given at the right time, patients can recover faster,". He also added in his statement that "I will donate (blood plasma) when permissible. I have spoken with the doctors. Those of you who have recovered from Covid-19 can speak with the doctors, and when permissible please donate your blood,".

The "Mission Oxygen" group tweeted on social media to acknowledge Tendulkar's contribution of worth Rs 1 crore. Blood plasma of those who have recovered from Virus is used in the treatment of active paitents of corona virus. This is a second wave of pandemic, the infection take Indian at next level of danger zone, in April cases stood across 300,000 and have been rising day by day.
