Sanjay Raut Received Death Threat From Gangster Bishnoi

New Delhi: On Saturday, 01 April 2023, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut received death threats via text messages on his personal cell phone.

Mr. Raut said he informed the Mumbai police about the threat on Friday night.

The texts were sent on behalf of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is now in a Punjab jail. The police have arrested one person and are interrogating him about the text.

"I received a threat on my phone; and informed the police regarding this.

But this government is not serious about this issue. I was threatened earlier as well, but the state's Home Minister called it a stunt," Mr. Raut said.

He then added that the state is not serious about the security of opposition leaders.

Sanjay Raut further said it doesn't bother him, and he didn't file a complaint or write any letter when his security was taken back.

"Sanjay Raut received death threats stating that he will meet Sidhu Moose Wala's fate now. He got the threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The message read that if you meet someone in Delhi, they will kill you with an AK-47. He wrote a letter to the police complaining about the matter," the police said.

The police are trying to trace the number from which Mr. Raut received the threat message.

Lawrence Bishnoi is said to be the mastermind behind the murder of Singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

He has also allegedly threatened the singer's father, Balkaur Singh, and actor Salman Khan.
