Scattered rainfall expected in parts of Delhi, UP and Bihar: IMD


On Saturday the India Meteorological Department (IMD)said that thunderstorms with light to moderate rain and gusty wind are likely in parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Met Department said in a statement that thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds over and surrounding regions of entire Delhi and its adjoining areas there is also a possibility of very light rain in the city on Saturday.

According to the tweet by IMD, thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty wind with a speed of 40-70 km per hour would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of entire Delhi and NCR (Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Manesar  Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Ganaur, Sonipat, Gohana, Kharkhoda, Rohtak, Farukhnagar, Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Nuh, Hodal, Aurangabad, (Haryana), Baghpat, Barsana, Nandgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Loni Dehat,(UP), Rajgarh, Laxmangarh, Nadbai, Nagaur, Alwar, Tizara, Deeg, (Rajasthan) during next 2hours."

Earlier, The Met Department had issued yellow alerts for 11 districts of Bihar namely all areas Kishanganj, Purnia, Saharsa,Madhepura, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Munger, Banka, Jamui, and Khagaria. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall with one or two intense spells is expected over West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha and some parts of Telangana.
