Schools In Pune To Reopen For Physical Classes From February 1

Half Day for students of class 1-7


On Saturday, the Pune Guardian Minister, Ajit Pawar after reviewing a Covid meeting announced the reopening of schools in the state.



According to the statement given by Ajit Pawar, Orders of reopening of schools will be issued today. Mobile vans will be sent to schools for vaccination of the eligible students.

 

A special room will be reserved in the school for children who need rest or get medical attention after the vaccination,” He also said that for students of Classes I to Class VIII, schools will be open only for four hours (half-day). For students of Class IX onwards, schools will be open at regular hours. Further added, “The decision about working half-day will be reviewed after a week. If the situation improves, schools will be allowed to operate at regular hours. At this stage, the parents don't need to send their kids for offline classes."



As per the information, for colleges, only those who have received both doses of vaccines will be permitted to attend offline classes.



Schools and colleges all across the country have been shut for a long duration. The online classes of education have made the students and kids go lazy. Also, a few other states have been planning to reopen the school.



According to an official, On Friday, Pune recorded 7,166 Covid-19 cases, taking the district's tally to 13, 88,687, while 12 deaths increased the toll to 19,429.
