Section 144 was imposed in Rajasthan's Dholpur district due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.Whereas four each cases were reported from Alwar and Jaipur, one each from Bikaner, Dholpur, Pali and Bharatpur.


Covid-19 cases are incessantly increasing in few states whereas Rajasthan's Dholpur district is witnessing an increase in Covid-19 cases for which section 144 has been imposed in the district on Friday, banning all public gatherings. According to the tweet of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, "reminding the people to take due precautions and urged those who are not following the guidelines to get checked for the virus". 

As per the government order, "Section 144 CrPC imposed in Dholpur district, Rajasthan in wake of Covid-19 situation. Organizing of Public, social, political, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious gatherings/processions/festivals will not be allowed. This will come into effect from 20th August."

Meanwhile, on Thursday the state recorded 12 Covid-19 cases which took the active cases to 153. Whereas four each cases were reported from Alwar and Jaipur, one each from Bikaner, Dholpur, Pali and Bharatpur.
