Serum Institute of India To Supply Vaccination at Bulk Price


According to some sources the world's largest Covid vaccine producer Serum Institute of India is close to signing a proposal of supply contract with the Centre at a fix prices at Rs.250 per .

Chief Executive Officer Adar Poonawalla had earlier stated that the vaccine would be priced at bid 1,000 rupees ($13.55) per dose in India's private market and private hospitals, but governments signing bulk of doses for supply deals are likely buy it at a lower price.

Mr Poonawalla had allegedly that Serum will first concentrate on supplying the vaccine to Indians across the India before distributing it to other countries. With about 9.70 million cases of corona virus recorded so far, India is second only to the United States and is accelerating its review of vaccines developed by other vaccines brands like Pfizer Inc and AstraZeneca to authorize for emergency use during the pandemic, a senior official said on Monday.
