Siblings Found Dead in Delhi

Police Identify Screwdriver as Murder Weapon

In East Delhi's Shakarpur area on Wednesday morning, police reported the tragic deaths of a 30-year-old school teacher and her 17-year-old brother, allegedly attacked with a screwdriver.

Kamlesh Holkar, 30, from Shakarpur, and her younger brother Ram Pratap Singh, a Mathura resident, were identified as the deceased.

At 10:11 a.m., the police received a distress call reporting a fight and injuries at Gali No-3, Shakarpur. In response, a team was promptly dispatched to the location.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a tragic double murder had occurred, with Kamlesh and her brother found deceased.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta stated, "Kamlesh worked as a school teacher in Sahibabad, UP, and her brother, Ram Pratap Singh, was studying in class 12. He had come to his sister's house on April 14 to celebrate his nephew's birthday. The family of the deceased has been informed."

Preliminary investigation indicated a confrontation between Kamlesh and her husband, Shriyansh Kumar (33), following which Shriyansh was discovered to be missing from the residence.

"The weapon used is suspected to be a screwdriver found near the scene of the crime. Further investigation is underway," added the DCP, mentioning that Kumar later joined the investigation.
