Sputnik V vaccine available at two Hospitals in Delhi. On-the-Spot registration and walk-in facility for Sputnik V vaccine is currently restricted. Whereas Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and Fortis Healthcare have started the services.


The Country was seen battling with Covid-19, where oxygen and other medical resources were scarce. To combat the situation, vaccination drives were started in full force and people were being encouraged to get vaccinated. In addition to Covishield and Covaccine, Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V has been mde available in two private hospitals of Delhi-NCR.

According to an official statement, it said that on Thursday (July 1) Fortis Healthcare and Apollo Hospitals have started administering the Sputnik V vaccine in a staged manner. According to hospital officials they said, over 1,000 people have been vaccinated so far, adding that they said, "On-the-Spot registration and walk-in facility for Sputnik V is currently restricted, we are encouraging beneficiaries to take appointments through Cowin app."

According to the statement given by Fortis Healthcare officials, they said to accelerate the vaccination drive we are introducing the vaccination at Fortis Hospital Jaipur from Friday we have received a good response and a total of 2,193 people have been vaccinated till now. The officials also said that the Healthcare facility has received fresh supplies to Sputnik V which will help it ramp up the inoculation drive. Earlier, Fortis Healthcare had announced that it will start administering two- doses of Russian vaccine at its Gurgaon and Mohali facilities but from 19 June however due to some reason there is a delay in the supply of Russian vaccine.

Meanwhile, according to Gamaleya and the RDIF, Sputnik V has demonstrated an efficacy rate of 92 per cent.
