Sputnik v vaccine to be available from Tomorrow in Delhi's Indraprastha Hospital

Russian Covid-19  vaccine Sputnik V likely to be available at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital from 15th June, according to reports  According to the information given by ANI, as many as 1000 doses of Russian Covid-19  vaccine Sputnik V reached the Apollo Hospital in Delhi on Sunday ,out of which over 179 doses were administered to the employees of Dr.Reddy's lab.

The first phase of  Russian Covid-19  vaccine rolled out by Apollo Hospital and Dr.Reddy's laboratories had started on 17th May in Hyderabad and on 18th May in Visakhapatnam. Taking about the price, The centre has fixed the price for Sputnik V vaccine at private hospitals at rupees 1,410 per dose. The Government on 10th June revealed that the efficacy of Sputnik V vaccine during a vaccination campaign by Bahrain's Ministry of Health was estimated to be at 94.3 per cent.

Meanwhile the Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) granted permission to the Pune based Serum Institute of India(SII) to manufacture the Russian covid-19 vaccine in India . Serum Institute has collaborated with the Gameleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Moscow in Russia for developing Sputnik V  vaccine at its licenced Hadapsar facility.
