Tamil Nadu govt bans gathering at beaches on December 31 and January 1

Covid alert!


On Monday, the Tamil Nadu Government announced a ban on public gatherings at beaches in the Tamil Nadu State.  The government has imposed a ban on 31st December and January 1.

 

This decision has been taken in view of the prevailing Covid-19 and the deadly New Variant which has been steadily spreading its wings.

 

According to the statement given by the chief minister, MK Stalin, several relaxations have also been imposed in the state students from standard 6-12 will be running on a regular basis from the next month. Earlier, the classes were running on a rational basis. The government also said, "There will be no access to people to all the beaches on December 31 and  January 1, 2022, as a part of the measures aimed at curbing the spread of Covid."CM also mentioned that, following the emergence of omicron variant cases in the neighbouring states - Kerala, Karnataka, and  Andhra Pradesh, people should avoid crowding in the ensuing festival season and follow Covid protocol including the use of face mask and social distancing, and get vaccinated ." Said the CM.

 

Ahead of the festival and new year rush. Public rush gathers up in tourist attraction places. Tamil Nadu is well known for its beaches and is famous for its beauty and climate. With the prevention and safety for the people, the decision has been taken to curb the infection in the state.
