Two cases of Omicron reported in Karnataka

High-level meeting to be chaired


 

On Thursday, the union health ministry reviewed the Covid-19 scenario in the country. After Which it said that in the two cases of Omicron, a new variant has been reported in Karnataka. 

 

 

According to the information, the two cases detected are a 66-year-old male and a 46-year-old male. The information stated that the passengers had come from South Africa on November 11and November 20.



 

With the fear of getting contaminated with the virus. One of the highly contagious B.1.1.529 strain Omicron. Karnataka Chief Minister will chair a high-level meeting today. According to the statement, Karnataka chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said detailed SOPs and guidelines will be soon rolled out after a meeting with experts and senior officials scheduled Friday (today) ."I am getting all the details from the lab. Once I get details, contact tracing of all the people will start. That's why we have got an elaborate plan. new SOPs have to be formed which will be done after I have a meeting with experts at 1 pm." Said the CM.

 

 

The two cases of omicron have created havoc among the people and travelers. A decision with proper guidelines will be out after a meeting. The meeting will take place today at 1 pm with all the experts.


Many other countries have implemented travel bans and also imposed restrictions in fear of getting infected with the deadly omicron.
