Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh are the Young Talents Emerging from the IPL this Season!

Kashmiri young player Umran Malik is shining star of the season

Former Indian all-rounder Ravi Shastri believes that young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh may soon find a place in the national T20 squad after his consistent performance in the Indian Premier League.

He made his IPL debut in 2019 and has been an integral part of Punjab Kings for the last four seasons.

Arshdeep Singh was among the two players who were retained by the Punjab Kings franchise before the auction.

The young pacer has improved his game with the new ball and bowling well in the death overs this season as well.

Ravi Shastri said, “It is good to see a player who is so young and continues to perform well under pressure and remains calm even under pressure and is doing well in the death overs.

Ravi Shastri said, “He is learning very fast and can join the Indian team in the near future.”  Some other players also impressed in the current IPL season including Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler Umran Malik and Mumbai Indians batsman Tilak Verma.

Brian Lara compared the young Umran Malik to West Indies fast bowler Fidel Edwards.  Lara said, “He reminds me of Fidel Edwards.  When he started, he used to bowl very fast.  I think he knows that this can make him a place in the international cricket.  I think he will definitely play in international cricket very soon.”

Lara further said, “In IPL, batsmen are playing fast bowling so well, so I hope that he will improve his bowling and add some variations.  He learns fast bowling in the nets and wants to learn new things which is good.”

Umran Malik takes his first 5-fer in the IPL against Gujarat Titans but that was not enough to make his team win the game.
