UP Declares Two Day State Mourning Over Lata Mangeshkar's Demise

Legendary leader Passes away On February 6!


The Uttar Pradesh administration on Sunday (February 6, 2022) announced two-day mourning in the state over the death of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.


According to the information given by an official, it mentions mourning will be observed from February 6 to February 7, 2022.


The legendary singer well known as the nightingale of India, known for her melodious voice and mesmerizing songs all across the globe passes away at the age of 92.

 

According to the information, she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on January 8, 2022, after she was diagnosed with COVID and pneumonia.

 

She also got recovered from COVID after which her health Conditions weren't stable later was put upon ventilator, and later on, her health condition got more worst or Saturday and the legendary singer Passed away on Sunday.


Visuals of her last rites were shared all across social media. The last rites of Legendary singers were performed with full state honors on Sunday at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray other Singers Asha Bhosle and Eminent star Shahrukh Khan, and Many others visited to pay her last rite.


The Megastar was awarded the Bharat Ratna award, which is India's highest Civilian honor in 2001.

 

She was also the recipient of three National Film awards among many honors received during her singing career," Aye mere vatan ke logon, Babul Pyare, Lag Ha Gale Se Phir" and many others are in the list which will forever remain in the heat.
