Yet another day to be inscribed in the history of the most disheartening battle ever fought in
India, which took countless life ever since the 15 th century. But took a turn on 6 th of December
1992, known to us as Babri Majid Demolition.
The demolition that occurred was illegal a large group of Vishva Hindu Prasad activist were
part of it. Against them two fires were charged on the very day of the miss happening in
Faizabad, one against ‘Lakhs of kar sevaks’ for demolition side wise against 49 functionaries
of sangh parivar for conspiracy.
On 4 th of May 2001, conspiracy charges against Advani and 13 others were dropped by Rae
Bareli court. But on 20 th of May 2010, Allahabad HC upholds the previous order and
demands to counter the hearing in the special court of Rae Barali. Than on 19 th April 2017,
Supreme Court revives the conspiracy charges again and orders to hear the both portions by
CBI court and finish up the trial within two years. Now we are here after more than two years
of trail case, with the same judge SK Yadav hearing the case since May 2017 and in process
of giving the verdict
Almost seventeen convicts of the case died in course of trial including Bal Thackeray, Ashok
Singhal, Mahant Avaidyanath and many others. As the court demanded for the convicts to be
present during the verdict but many of the leaders, Advani, Joshi and Pradhan are likely to
seek exemption on the ground of old age, Bharti, Nritya Gopal Das, Kalyan Singh are Covid
Positive and not going to be there for sure.
If found guilty they would be charged with max five years of imprisonment, years are
according to the indulgent in the crime.
The Special Forces are everywhere in civilian clothes along with the police avoiding any kind
of gathering. Officers have been told to keep check on the movement in Lucknow. Along
with this CRPF personals are deployed in and outside the High Court. Three layer Security
has been deployed, with no one allowed to enter the courtroom except the defence, CBI
lawyers and the accused. Barricades have been put on kilometres away from the court for the
proper protection. 26 accused are likely to be there among the 32 with three of them taking
the leave of old age and three being COVID positive.
It is about to unravel that this day would be it or there’s yet to this case.
