Strict action against Hospitals refusing to admit Covid-19 patients, Says CM Yogi Adityanath


India has become an epicentre of the Second wave of Covid-19. The rise in cases is creating an alarming situation in the country, meanwhile Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action against hospitals who are refusing to take Covid-19 patients and sent them on the recommendations of the District Magistrates (DMs) and chief medical officers (CMOs). A case will be filed under the Epidemic Act against such hospitals.

According to the press release bythe government CM Yogi Adityanath has emphasized the requirement of setting up an oxygen Generation plant to ensure a steady flow of oxygen in the hospital and medical colleges. Many oxygen plants are being set up under this initiative and are functional in multiple hospitals as well as medical colleges.These oxygen plants are being set up in Government medical college in Saharanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Banda as well as state medical colleges at Firozabad, Ayodhya, Basti and Bahraich districts of the state. The release also mentioned that the state education department has released about 1.15 crore, which includes rupees 14.37 lakh for each plant at each medical college and hospital. 

Meanwhile, Cases in Uttar Pradesh are rapidly increasing, among 22,439 fresh Covid-19 cases, 9,480 have died due to Covid-19 infection.
